Week 6 Cincinnati Bengals at NY Jets

Well, I heard that Carson Palmer is not starting this week due to elbow problem. I am not confident anymore that we will win too many games this season. I will make this one short and brief since I am still do not have my laptop up and running. I will tell you, typing from work is not fun since I gotta get out of here!

The Bengals will more than likely lose this week! We have 50/50 chance but if the offense, defense and special teams do not step up our chances go down. I feel we need all teams to try and get a score. Why can't we be like Minnesota on Sunday nite? MN Vikings did not play that great offensively but special teams had a TD and I believe defense may have scored or just had a steal or two.

I will say, Go Bengals!

Week 5 Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys! Oh Boy!

I have to make this short, my laptop still down, still typing from working and gotta go give blood soon. I have so much to say but not enough time. I don't know how we will play Sunday. I find the Bengals to be so unpredictable but I still like the performance of the defense in the last games. I am not sure if Carson or Fitzgerald is playing. I have not heard or had time to read if Chris Henry is playing, he might as well, we took him back. I just heard local news reports this week, he was on the scout team. I really feel Dallas will win this game unless we come 100% ready to play. Can we shut To up? We will see!

Week 4 Cleveland Browns at Cincinnat Bengals

Well this is the battle of the Ohio Teams again! We have the Cleveland Brown here at Cincinnati for a home game. I know they usually say the home team always win but I am not too sure on some teams. I am not predicting who will win this week; all I am saying is that the Bengals may win. I am not predicting who has the best defense, offense or special teams because the Browns have not come out this season any better than the Bengals. I mean, look at them; they are 0-3 too! The only thing I will say; I don't want to see a game like our last year home game with them. That was crazy! Neither team showed any defense, I don't care if the score was 45-51.

A few notes thought: I want the offensive line to predict Carson, Carson needs to release the ball quicker, we still need to get more first downs, complete 3rd and 4th downs, have a better running game and score when we are in the red zone!
I don't care what the Browns do we need to pound them in the ground!

A quick prediction for the other 2 teams in the AFC North. The Baltimore Ravens is at The Pittsburgh Steelers, this is a home game for Steelers. I guess I will give the edge to the home team. When I look at the 4 teams in our division, I hope that the Bengals will eventually get to the top or above one of the other lower teams. I do have a preference for Steelers in this division. I feel after the Steelers poor showing in their last game, they will be hungry! I will say the Steelers will get the win by a touchdown.

Bengals Fall Short in loss to NYGiants by 23-26!

We played a good game this week. I feel most players were playing way better than they played in the first 2 games. Carson was showing some leadership; offense and defense played way better. I feel defense was the best asset this time. They did keep Giants scoring down but we need to score more and play the clock better. Some passes to Chad Johnson aka Ocho Cinco was still a bit off. He had chances and dropped 2 but I know one was on a hard hit. TJ still had some catches and a few good blocks so that was good. All in all we made progress this time, if only we can keep it up when we play Cleveland next!

The NY Giants played a good game as only the current super bowl champs should! I have to admit I love Eli Manning's confidence and leadership now.

On my other picks, I guess some of teams I enjoy watching or following, lost this week. The Cowboys were the only ones to come through. Until next week picks, have a good week!

Week 3 Bengals at NY Giants

This is horrible! I cannot go with my Bengals this week. I am so torn but I have to go with my feelings on who the true players are! I will make this short and give my prediction and tell you why. I will add a personal note since I had a bad week but blessed to say, it was not like the hurricane victims. I pray, they continue to succumb the events of this week. On Sunday, the 14th; we all know now that the Bengals lost to Titans, we had a wind storm in some parts of Ohio and surrounding areas, lost power for X amount of days&some still without it tonight, my personal laptop crashed on Monday, ran out of gas on Tuesday due to people going crazy at the gas pumps&stations ran out of gas but all in all I am happy now! I am still at work, LOL; doing what I love most, BLOGGING! I gotta get out here, I must be crazy!

On to the game! I do not see any defense, offense or special teams on the Bengals. I do not know what happened! I think they shut down temporarily but we may not see much this week.

I have to admit; I love how the Giants play with excitement, competitive and coming to win! All their parts are working: defense, offense and special teams; even without retired Strahan, injured Umenyiora and maybe someone I don't know about, they still function. I am going with Bengals 10 - Giants 24.

I will throw in a few more predictions real quick before I go:
Pittsburgh Steelers 27 - Philadelphia Eagles 17
Dallas Cowboys 24 - Green Bay Packers 14
Detroit Lions 17 - San Francisco 49's 10
Cleveland Browns 20 - Baltimore Ravens 17

I Don't Believe It!

I don’t believe that we can lose 2 games in a row!
The game last week against the Ravens was horrible. You would have thought we forgot how to play football. When their starting quarterback has more rushing yards than our running backs, it does not seem right! When Carson is at the bottom of the list in QB rating that does not seem right! I figured after that Ravens game, we would play better this week.

We started out looking good. I thought defense was showing some promise. I thought we can win this game. The offense was making some strides so I knew we would have the first touchdown. I was wrong, Titans scored first. Well, we got time too make some scores. The wind was blowing strong all over the tri-state and I thought; we can blow them away. I guess not, before halftime the power went off in the tri-state and it must have gone out for the Bengals too! We eventually got a touchdown and that would be it. I didn’t get to see or hear anymore of the game as the radio station they were on, seem to die out like the Bengals. I found out later while listening to one of our local radio talk shows, that the Bengals lost to Titans 24 – 7. Oh well, there is next week!

Week 2 Titans at Bengals

Well! here we go again, another week to look forward to. I so love the Bengals after our week 1 meltdown! Vince Young is out this week with a knee injury but doesn't make the game less of a challenge. Carson Palmer our seasoned QB goes against Kerry Collins their seasoned veteran QB. I know Kerry Collins is older, don't play many games but he is still good! He took the Titans through some playoff games last season and I thought they were going to make it to the Super Bowl game. He lead the players down the field with good ease. I am not concerned about who starts, it doesn't matter with us. All I hope is that Special Teams, Defense and Offense come out to give a competitive game and get a win!

I am going with the Bengals this week, we have just as much chance as the Titans. I feel both teams are pretty equal on talent. We just need to execute better!
I will say we win! Bengals 24 - Titans 14

Week 1 Bengals vs Ravens

I love the NFL! I love the Bengals! This is the day I have been waiting for. A new season, a fresh start, some new players, old ones are gone and some familiar faces remain. The bottom line is; the game does not change. As Herm Edwards has said; "we play to win the game". I hope we win Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. It shouldn't matter that we do have Rudy Johnson, Willie Anderson, Deltha O'Neil; you get injured, make a mistake, get old or it may be money: you may be gone. It doesn't matter that you were dependable; just like our 9-5 jobs, you are gone. As some leave, one is back; no matter how many mistakes you make, one, two, three or more: Chris Henry is back! Well, just like the start of last season, he is suspended for the start of this season, 4 games. We will survive without him. Now on to my prediction for the game.

The Bengals need to play good defense, rush and blitz the quarterback, stop their running and passing game. The offense needs to protect the quarterback,no penalties, no turnovers, get more 3rd downs and hopefully 4th downs. I am not too concern about the running and passing since we can run or pass all we want but we need to get those downs. I hope Carson gets a chance to get the ball out, don't throw too high and just be accurate. Of course, receivers need to catch the ball, hold on to the ball and hopefully get touchdowns. Special Teams just need to do their part, don't fumble the ball and hopefully get good yardage on the returns.

Bengals 17 - Ravens 10

NFL PRESEASON FOOTBALL GM 2!

The Bengals 2nd preseason game against the Detroit Lions was not good to me! The offense started out slow. Chad Johnson dropped a ball but he was hit quickly! Then in the same 1st quarter, Carson through one a little high; Chad had to jump up to catch it. Well, he caught it but when he was coming down; 2 Lions defenders were there already and plowed him down. He dropped the ball and went to the side line trying to catch his wind. I thought he'd be back but he got his shoulder hurt in the play and went to the locker room. The turnover lead to the Lions first touchdown. Then the Lions eventually got a field goal and score was 7-0. We got a touchdown in the 2nd quarter to tie it; Lions got a field goal in 3rd quarter to take lead again and we got a field goal to tie it. That is all I will say on that!

The Lions were looking good! Kitna made some good passes to open receivers who caught the ball. They moved the ball down the field better than the Bengals. I feel their defense was better, they had 2 guys on most players when we did catch the ball. They had a good offensive line who gave their QB's time to throw. Their special teams made a good block of one of our field goal attempts. I know this is a preseason game but I hope it is not a prediction of what is yet to come for the Bengals. We lost 27-10. Need I say more?

NFL PRESEASON FOOTBALL!

I love NFL football so MUCH that I can't even wait for the preseason games!
The Cincinnati Bengals is my team that I root for! I follow most teams that I can get on what ever Local, Fox or ESPN channel they televise on.

Monday, the Cincinnati Bengals started their preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. I was happy to say we won 20-17. I was not pleased that after having a good lead, we let them catch up. We still pulled the win off. My only wish for this season is that defense play well, offense work together and special teams pick it up some.

Thursday, on Fox channel; I got to see the Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers. I missed the beginning of game due to watching the Cincinnati Red and Pittsburgh Pirates baseball. Yes, I was still watching baseball. After a few innings, I realized it was preseason football night. When I turned the NFL game on, they were in a rain delay. I flipped back to baseball! As I was waiting for the rain delay to stop, I looked up at the dark sky through my patio door and saw a slither of the bright moon and some white clouds. The moon was positioned at the beginning of the clouds and looked like a head. The shape of the white clouds against the black sky looked like the shadow of a black panther pouncing! Anyway, I went back to the game as they preceded to play in the rain into halftime; the Panthers was leading Eagles 10-0.

NBA championship Finals GM 6, Boston Celtics-Los Angeles Lakers

Game 6 tonight is in Boston. At half time the Boston Celtics is leading The Los Angeles Lakers, 58-35. All I can say is; I believe the Celtics will have this game tonight! I think if they continue the strong play for the starters and bench, they can win this championship tonight. The Celtics came out strong in the first 2 quarters in both offense and defense. Overall, they have done it all, shooting, free throws, 3 point shots, blocks, steals and whatever else you can think of. It's not that the Lakers are weak, they were just over powered by the Celtics! I can't single out any one player tonight but Garnett has came out strong and leading the Celtics. Paul Pierce is awesome as always! Rajon Rondo has stepped up even more, he is getting steals and has been great at passing. Ray Allen has had some good 3 pointers and shots in the paint. The bench players has added as well with Big Baby Davis, coming off the bench in his first NBA finals appearance. He has had some good moments; I believe a steal, blocks and a couple of shots in this first half.

The Celtics great play continues in the 2nd half! I think they do have this game tonight!

NBA championship Finals GM 5, Boston Celtics-Los Angeles Lakers

I will start out with a little bit about game 4. The Boston Celtics didn't exactly follow my game plan but they were close. They didn't come out strong in the first 2 quarters and ended up going into halftime with a 18 pt deficit. The Los Angeles Lakers were aggressive in the first 2 quarters. Well, Doc Rivers must have lit the fire under them some with his halftime speech but he shouldn't have had to say much. The Celtics knew what they needed to do! I am sure The Lakers figured all they to do was to keep up their aggressiveness.
At halftime the score was 58-40.

During the 2nd half The Celtics made a great come back. They kept up a strong, aggressive play during the next 2 quarters. The Lakers seemed to have lost their aggressive edge. I really don't like how Kobe and the rest of team play at times. I know Kobe can get his shots, he is one of the best players in the game. He can't keep going back and forth to this, I gotta get the team involved. They need to be involved from the beginning. When he doesn't take shots early, I think that puts them in trouble sometimes. Celtics won gm 4, 97-91. I will make this short and give my objective thoughts for game 5.

The Celtics need to come out strong in all 4 quarters. I feel they can possibly take game 5 tonight and the Championship. I will go with the obvious things that The Celtics need to do to win tonight: don't get in foul trouble, less turnovers, open man shoot, Rondo has to make plays for team and take shots too, get to the foul line, get 3 pt shooters open. They need to play their good defense.

The Lakers need to play all quarters, if they want to go to a game 6. I feel the whole team needs to come out and play offense and defense. Don't wait for Kobe! Kobe needs to take any open shot if he can get. If he has to pass the ball, the open man better be ready! Kobe can't win the game alone. They need to watch the turnovers, get less fouls, get to the free throw line, block, take open shots.

NBA championship Finals GM 4, Boston Celtics-Los Angeles Lakers

The Boston Celtics will be playing The Los Angeles Lakers tonight in Los Angeles. Can the home court prevail? Celtics won the first 2 in Boston and Lakers won the next one in Los Angeles; we shall see! The Lakers will be expecting to tie tonight and we know The Celtics want game 4. I feel to win this game each team may have to do some of the following:

The Lakers will need the entire team to come out and play. The 5 starters will all need to be on their "A" game. The Lakers bench needs to step up too. I don't think Kobe can do it all. Well, maybe he can! They let him down in gm 2 but I don't see them doing that again. Even though The Lakers are known for offense; I think offense and defense will be key tonight. The Lakers need to watch the foul calls, block shots, get to the foul line and get the ball to the open man. They need to be more aggressive to the basket. I am sure when they watched the game tape from gm 3, they will be making adjustments. Gasol needs to really be more aggressive in his shooting and blocking. They all need to continue to share the ball and take the open shots.
I think they will come out strong in the first 2 quarters.

The Celtics need to come out strong. The 5 starters all need to make shots tonight and get to the free throw line. Rajon Rondo will be playing tonight. How effective can he be? I know The Celtics are known for defense and they will need it tonight in all 4 quarters. Their defense and offense needs to be superb. The bench needs to step up and put forth that extra effort. I am sure Doc Rivers will try Powe again tonight. The Lakers did a good job stopping Powe Tuesday so we will see what happens tonight. He still needs to be in the game and aggressive as always. I really think the game plan is going to be different. Garnett can't seem to get some of his open shoots but I think his defense may be more valuable in this game. I know The Celtics will be tested tonight and I think all the bench may have a little hand in tonight's game plan. The Celtics need to watch the fouls, don't lose the ball, don't pass too much, open man shoot, get 3 point shooters open and block shots.

NBA championship Finals GM 2, Boston Celtics-Los Angeles Lakers

Who will win game 2? I am sure Coach Phil Jackson and all players will be ready tonite for a win in Boston. Can the Celtics hold them off? They will try!

The Celtics need to keep up offense, less turnovers, more scoring. When a man is open he needs to shoot before that 2 and 3 man defense comes in. Rondo needs to continue to watch the ball, find the open man and possibly set Ray Allen up for three's. Rondo may have to take some open shots too. I know he is not a great shooter but if he can get in the paint take the open shot or get to the foul line, it will open up more scoring. Perkins is in tonite, I don't think he will be 100% but he just needs to continue to get offensive and defensive rebounds. Hopefully Pierce will be playing tonite too!
On defense, they need to keep Kobe's scoring down because he will get his shots.
If he does get shots, I would concentrate less on stopping him. If they guard him too much that leaves 4 more shooters open. Don't get in foul trouble.

The Lakers,of course will come out strong!

Nadal beats Federer in French Open for 4th straight year!

I'm just dedicate a little write up for tennis. I do watch it occasionally. I may be adding more in future. Through the years as I watched some players; I knew Nadal would be one to contend with eventually. I saw some games where he gave the top players a run for their money. Will he be able to win Wimbledon in a couple of weeks? I know Federer always make it to the top seed; I know Nadal was his opponent last year so will this year be a repeat? Will Nadal win? Anyway about his win today in the French Open: below is brief from ESPN.

Rafael Nadal joined Bjorn Borg as the only French Open four-peaters with a 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 win Sunday over Roger Federer in Paris. The outcome never was in doubt, a shocking fact considering Federer and some experts felt this was his year to cap a career Grand Slam.
